Our Mission

The mission of the Texas Center for the Judiciary is to promote judicial excellence by providing the highest quality judicial education to the judges of the State of Texas.

What We Do

The Texas Center for the Judiciary is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide the highest quality judicial education to the judges in the State of Texas. Through our programs, TCJ supports judges and court staff in administering justice with fairness, efficiency, and integrity.

TCJ offers conferences and webinars throughout the year to meet the evolving educational needs of Texas courts.

Who we serve

Judges and Associate Judges

TCJ serves Texas judges in the following courts.

  • Appellate courts
  • District courts
  • County courts at law
  • Child Protection courts
  • IV-D courts

Court Professionals

TCJ serves court professionals who work in the same courts as our member judges. This includes court coordinators, court administrators, and similar roles.

Non-Members (Limited Access)

  • Magistrate Judges: May access the webinar library and magistration training.
  • DWI Treatment Court Staff: May request access to register for DWI Court Team Training, treatment court webinars and other DWI related resources.

Not Eligible for Accounts

While we understand there are many roles in the courthouse that are equally important, TCJ does not grant user access to all roles.

TCJ does not create accounts for: 

  • Employees of the county or district clerks office
  • Employees of the county sherriff's department
  • Employees of the Community Supervision and Corrections Department 
  • Staff attorneys
  • Prosecutors
  • Private attorneys
  • General public
